How to reset iPhone is one of those delicate questions many people ask. Resetting your iPhone means that you wish to turn back the phone to its original state. While this process may appear complicated, it is actually very easy. The process may vary depending on your specific model of iPhone but the result will be the same. You will be able to go back to the “HOME” screen, select the home button, and then use the buttons on your left hand side to do all the necessary functions that you previously used to perform. So, let’s take a closer look at how to reset iPhone.

Let’s first look into what actually resetting means. When you forget the specific iDevice password, need to setup the device for repair or want to completely reset the device, all you have to do is restart the device. This means that even if you were not able to turn off the device, you will still be able to restart it. There are times when the problem is more complicated such as when the hardware has malfunctioned, but in most cases, you will be able to restart your iPhone after a simple restart.

Now let’s take a look at how to reset iPhone when you reset the device. First, once you have restarted, press the home button and the power button simultaneously for about 30 seconds. This will bring the hardware interface down, which will enable you to see all the connections and the software interface on your iPhone. Once you can see this, you will be able to plug your iPhone through a USB port into a computer.

One of the important steps in this process is to hit restore since this will start the process of restoring your backed up files. Next, make sure you click on the button labeled download itunes. Since you previously downloaded itunes on to your iPhone via iTunes, it should be on the iTunes icon on your computer.

When you are done restoring your backed up files, you will now be able to access the download itunes icon on your computer. Click here if you want to continue the download of itunes. When you are done, restart your device and use the Sleep/Wake button to turn off the phone. At this point, your iPhone is ready to be restored back to its factory settings.

However, if the reset iphone error message still shows up, your device may not be able to be restored back to its factory settings. In this case, you need to try other options. The reset switch, headphone jack, USB cable, speaker, and screen might also have been damaged.

The first thing you should do if you see the logo appear is to restart your iPhone into downloading mode. To do this, connect your iPhone to your computer using the USB cable and then follow the onscreen instructions. Once your iPhone is into downloading mode, you should see a recovery mode. By turning the iPhone on, you should see an option for home or power. If you select power, then your iPhone will restart into being able to connect to the computer.

The second option you should try when your iPhone becomes unable to connect to your computer after a hard reset is that you should attempt to connect your iPhone to a different iPhone. You can do this by plugging in another device into your iPhone. Restoring your backed up files will become possible again. If you are not able to restore your device with this alternative method.

The third option for resetting the iPhone is to take your iPhone to an Apple store and have them perform a factory reset. Apple stores can reset your device to factory settings by connecting it to their external interface or by using a software tool.
